MTV Crashes Plymouth
MTV returns to Plymouth the week for its 4 year running. Who would have thought that back in 2014 when we were excited to welcome Example and The Kaiser Chiefs it would become an annual phenomenon. Taking over Plymouth Hoe for 2 days along with MTV will be 30,000 people and 13 acts looking to make some noise and celebrate the summer - if the weather holds off.
Day 1 is generally filled with artists belonging to the pop music genre, with acts such as Foxes, Little Mix and Busted. And Day 2 is generally dance/ club music with acts like Example, Steve Aoki and Tough Love.
The atmosphere surrounding the event is amazing, despite being quite a large city, Plymouth doesn't really have that much happening for young people, so this event is always a must. Both evenings are always packed with numbers having to be increased every year due to the high demand for tickets.
Since the event is broadcast on MTV later on in the year, it also gives people the opportunity to see all that Plymouth has to offer. Plymouth Hoe is right on the waterfront, so it shows the city in its best light, even if it does happen to rain.
Gates for the event opened TODAY (27th July 2017) at 3:30PM and music starting at 6PM. They will be the same time again tomorrow! Obviously, its too late to buy tickets online, but there are still tickets available from the Guild Hall in Plymouth city center, about a 5 minute walk from the MTV location, so why not go and see what all the fuss (and if you live relatively close like i do, the noise) is about!
