Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in travel, style, and food. Hope you have a nice stay!

Melbourne, Australia

Melbourne, Australia

Melbourne is where I started my trip in Australia, after 2 stop overs (Dubai and Brunei) and 21 hours trapped on a plane, I finally arrived at 6am in the Australian summer... to find that it was freezing cold πŸ˜’ Melbourne is famous for its bi-polar weather conditions, something you obviously will never believe till you go there - it's Australia, right? It's sunny all the time!

I am very fortunate to have a best friend (Bonnie) that bravely moved from England to Melbourne for university, so a big part of why I choose Australia for my trip was because of her. Although I'd only seen her a month early (she came home for Christmas after before away for 14 months), I was so happy to be reunited with my best friend and be staying with her - sleepovers every night!

As you can imagine, we spent a lot of time at the beach, soaking our see-through skin in the sunshine (that's what English winters do to you, drain the life/colour from you), as well being on the look out for Melbourne's best cup of coffee. Australians are massive coffee snobs, so if an Aussie says a certain place does a great Flat White, you go there. One of the best coffees I have ever had we found in a shop that we stumbled on by mistake called Three Monkeys Place out in the eastern suburbs. But if Melbourne has taught me anything, it's that the best coffee shops are the ones with the roasters in the building, try Red Bean HQ in the northern suburbs.

Melbourne is also a great place to keep fit whilst your away, something I've always struggled with, I'll train for months in advance for my bikini body and then waste it by indulging whilst I'm away. There are heaps of running tracks along the beaches and through the botanical gardens that keep your mind so busy, you don't even realise your running!

Melbourne is defiantly one of my favourite places I've ever been, the people are so friendly and the food and nightlife is amazing, there's always something going on - St Kilda Festival was happening whilst I was in town. Anyone thinking of booking a trip definatly should not skip it out!
