BTS JLR Clothing Photoshoot
I spent my Saturday last week in Exeter with the lovely Jode Lee from JLR Clothing and a few other girls, modelling their new Reckless collection. Although I've done photo shoots before, I have never done a fashion shoot so this was a brand new and exciting experience for me. I had such a great day and wanted to share a few behind the scene shots along with the photos from the campaign.
I had to be in Exeter for 10 AM, so I got myself up at 7 AM (earlier than I would have got up for work during the week) and put myself on the train from Plymouth to Exeter to meet the girls. Jode wanted an urban environment for her shoot with lots of attitude, she had found a wall of grafitti down by the quay a few weeks before and decided it was perfect for what she wanted for her vibe.
We were freezing! What do you expect when you decide to do a photoshoot outside, in November? But despite being practically frozen, all the girls provided lots of energy and got the job done, whilst still looking absolutely amazing and rocking their outfits.
We ended up shooting in two locations, both on the Quay, but one with the grafitti and the other further down by the bars and restaurants.
I don't think you can talk to any girl nowadays and not have her be on Instagram. As the girls in the shoot are quite use to having their photos taken, it makes sense they would love the photo app also, and be in pretty high numbers when it comes to followers. Through-out the day we were all constantly snapping away on our phones, taking candid photos for one another and updating our Instagram stories to document the day.
JLR wanted a group of girls that could form a girl gang. The idea is that this would help present the brand in it's best light and the girls would become brand ambassadors.
I'm so happy to have been invited to be a part of this campaign, the girls were all amazing and I always get such a confidence boost from doing any shoot. I can't wait to see where this little company goes and hopefully I'll get invited back to work with them again and I can see them grow into the next Missguided or Pretty Little Thing.
